Meet Our Providers
Jason E. deVente, MD
Dr. deVente received his Bachelor degree in biochemistry from North Carolina State University. He went on to graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine with honors.
After completing his residency in Family Medicine at East Carolina University he joined Fuquay Varina Family Practice in 2001. Dr. deVente lives in Fuquay Varina with his wife and two children.
Thomas C. Darrell, MD
Dr. Darrell completed his undergraduate studies with a double major in Chemistry and Psychology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He also attended medical school and received his MD from Carolina. Dr. Darrell did his residency at the University of South Carolina in Columbia.
He was a co-founder of Fuquay Varina Family Practice. Dr. Darrell enjoys doing medical mission trips serving the poor and underserved, and has been to El Salvador several times where he has served as medical director for primary medical clinics. He also serves as a preceptor for first year medical students from UNC in their clinical skills course.
Jennifer Atwater, PA-C
Jennifer Atwater (Physician Assistant) completed her undergraduate studies in Biological Sciences at North Carolina State University. She received her Physician Assistant degree from Duke University in 2007. She has been on the staff at Fuquay Varina Family Practice since December 2007. Jennifer lives in Cary and enjoys spending time with family as well as
cheering for the Wolfpack.
Angela Glaser, FNP-C
Angela Glaser (Family Nurse Practitioner), completed her undergraduate degrees in Nursing at Southwestern Illinois College in 2007 and Chamberlain University in 2019. She received her Master’s Degree in Nursing Sciences, specializing in Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2021. She has worked as a Critical Care RN for many years before joining Fuquay Varina Family Practice in 2022 as a Nurse Practitioner. She enjoys spending time at the beach with her family and friends.
